To safeguard high-value watch transactions and help prevent fraud, dealing in stolen property, money laundering and other unlawful activity, DAWNBLOOM WATCH verifies the seller’s identity at the buyback transaction, in accordance with applicable law and our transaction security procedures.

Customers must present their own genuine, valid identification at the transaction. Mainland residents may present a resident identity card; Hong Kong residents may present a Hong Kong identity card or another applicable valid identification document.

Our representative checks the document against the person at the transaction. Document images or necessary verification records are retained only where there is a lawful basis, a genuine need and compliance with applicable requirements.

The information is used only to verify the parties’ identities, manage transaction security, meet applicable statutory compliance obligations and lawfully assist investigations by police or other competent authorities.

We do not use identity information for advertising, marketing, profiling or unrelated commercial purposes, and we do not sell customers’ personal information.

For verification records that may lawfully follow our general company archive policy, the normal retention period is one year from the end of the transaction. Any different statutory retention period or lawful requirement to preserve records takes precedence.

When the retention period expires and no other legal ground for retention remains, the records are securely deleted or destroyed in accordance with applicable requirements.

Document images are retained only after a lawful basis, necessity and appropriate notice or consent procedures have been established. Unrelated personal data is not collected. Hong Kong identity-card copies are subject to local privacy requirements: on-site inspection is preferred, and internal policy alone does not require every customer to accept copying.
