A practical guide to fan use, public materials, and commercial permission.
Names and marks
Players, media, and creators may refer to 光与绽森语, DAWNBLOOM, and 光と花咲く森 to identify the game in commentary, guides, videos, unofficial communities, and other lawful expression. Merely naming the game for that purpose does not require permission.
Do not use names, logos, domains, account or app names, storefronts, packaging, or overall design in a way that leads ordinary users to think a site, support channel, account, shop, company, product, or event is official, affiliated, or endorsed.
Using the logo
Under the Fan Content Guidelines, you may use the official logo to identify the subject of a guide, video thumbnail, fan page, wiki, or fan community, and resize it reasonably for layout. If the logo is prominent or your page could be mistaken for an official one, clearly label it “Unofficial,” “Fan-made,” or the equivalent.
Do not use the logo for fake official sites, support, announcements, events, or scams. Reasonable use in fan content differs from trademark use on commercial goods.
Screenshots, recordings, and public materials
Under the Fan Content Guidelines, gameplay screenshots and recordings and public promotional materials without a separate restriction may be used in streams, videos, edits, guides, commentary, social posts, wikis, communities, news, and fan works. Reasonable cropping, scaling, captions, layout, filters, and compositing are allowed.
Do not alter material to fabricate official announcements, GM conversations, probability disclosures, support replies, enforcement decisions, product details, event rules, or other supposed official information.
Reposting public website content
The existing Terms of Use allow free reposting of public website news, announcements, guides, promotional screenshots and images, and material marked for public distribution, without a separate request or attribution. This center adds no application, fee, or licensing condition.
Streams and platform earnings
Streams, recordings, edits, guide videos, reviews, commentary, and fan videos that comply with the Fan Content Guidelines may earn ordinary platform ad revenue, creator incentives, memberships, tips, and platform funds. Those ordinary earnings alone do not turn permitted work into unauthorized commercial infringement.
Commercial uses that usually need written permission
- Mass-produced character merchandise, clothing, plush toys, badges, acrylic goods, or cards; paid asset or wallpaper packs; products made from official assets.
- Corporate collaborations, commercial ads, paid events centered on DAWNBLOOM IP, licensed exhibitions, theme shops, commercial packaging, or official merchandise.
- Paid games or mods, or use of the DAWNBLOOM logo as the brand of a business’s goods or services.
Uses outside these permissions
- Repackaging or selling official source code, original game assets, music, sound, or asset packs; pirated or cracked clients, payment-bypass builds, private servers, or modified clients presented as official.
- Fraud or impersonation using DAWNBLOOM marks.
Third-party rights and lawful uses
Third-party music, fonts, video, brands, and software remain subject to their owners’ rules. Our permission does not cover their rights.
These guidelines do not restrict fair use, quotation, commentary, news reporting, parody, research, criticism, or any other use that applicable law permits without our consent.
