Check the official source, product name and file SHA-256. Open the product’s file details to read the signing notice for that installer.

Read the filename, publisher and reason in the notice. An unfamiliar file or unknown publisher differs from a detected threat. Stop and contact support if Windows reports malware.

Keep Windows security protection enabled. School or work devices may be restricted by an administrator; ask them for help. Microsoft’s guide explains the notices you may see.
