System overview
- The carpet merchant sells Basic for 5,000 gold, Intermediate for 10,000, and Advanced for 20,000. Luxury drops from activities and is not sold directly. All four share the same core travel ability.
- Carpets are unbound and tradeable between players. They do not stack, so each uses one inventory slot. All four sell to NPC shops for 100 gold.
- Select and use a carpet from your inventory to unfold it. Your character rides standing up and gains 20% movement speed.
How it works
- On ordinary ground maps, use or stow it where the map permits. Sky areas must be entered through a ground Sky Portal while the carpet is active; entry is refused without one.
- Stowing it voluntarily in the sky immediately returns you safely beside that area’s linked ground portal. This is not a death, and the carpet stays in your inventory.
- Carpets cannot be used in Coral Sea Realm or the Dragon Palace seabed. Other restricted areas are identified by map prompts, and permission is checked again when changing maps.
Switching with carts
- Cart and carpet cannot be active together. To switch from a cart to a carpet, manually dismount the cart first, then use the carpet from your inventory.
- On an eligible ground map, activating the cart directly stows the carpet back in your inventory. You cannot switch to a cart in the sky; return to the ground first.
Good to know
- Any PvE death outside player PK permanently destroys the exact carpet currently in use, regardless of grade, source, or rarity. PvP death does not destroy it.
- After a PvE death in the sky, the active carpet is destroyed first, then your character is sent to the hospital you selected—not to the ground portal.
- Luxury Carpet carries the same permanent-loss risk on PvE death. Before taking a rare carpet into combat, recheck the warning and your hospital setting.
